But who cares for my opinion.
So wag mo naman ako idemanda.

What the Heck!!!

Bakit?

Get elected first as barangay captain, then let’s talk. At ikaw Tuesday Vargas! Kapatid mo ‘ko, huwag mo akong tirahin. For your information, sa aking show galing ang ipinapasuweldo sa ‘yo! And you, Aiza Seguerra!

‘Yang DSWD at Commission on Human Rights, hinusgahan agad nila ako! Unahin mo sila!

I will stick with him dahil amusing siya!

Pati hair and make up ko, pinapakialaman n’yo.

Kay MVP, you’re the best!

Goldwyn Morales Azul as I noted

Out of the blue, I googled GMA (for brevity, i'll have to use this initial, even as it kinda remind me about that disastrous presidency) and it introduced me to a blogpost from Quiet Time Ramblings. I read her post about GMA afterwhich I check out her last post for year 2010 and her first post for 2011. Great posts and kinda GMA in detail.

I wanted to read more on GMA that very moment on that I suddenly remember taking some notes of GMA's past articles from the Flash Magazine, search for it in my file folders (real old paper and folders, not the PC kind) and was lucky enough that I did have them there all these years (25+ years in file?).

The notes that I copied started with the Issue number but I can't find the date for which it was published. As I recall, I made those notes early 90's either '92 or '93.

For now, the issue number will do and I might have the chance to update these with the exact details as I discover while re-reading them again in full.

For this initial post, in saluting GMA, I'll post here a part of issue number 503.

I think this was written in those years that we are frequented by the brown-outs and quoting GMA on those years.......

"Nothing but a burning light. And finally...

Time once again to return to my hut and, well, stare at my newest cassette acquisitions. Yes, I just stared at them these days since these 5-hour power outages we're having. It's really tough. Staring at the song titles and trying to imagine what they sounds like is pretty hard work. But somebody's got to do it. And hey, keep those letters and request coming, will you? Boy, that new Style Council Compilation album sounds great.

Here, take a look!"

MCGI Presiding Minister Gives Biblical Outlook to Natural Disasters

In light of the recent disasters and on-going relief missions in earthquake-struck Japan, Members Church of God International Presiding Minister Bro. Eli Soriano shares enlightening thoughts and biblically-inspired perspectives to what is now seen as a tragic global newsmaker.

Amidst Disasters and Political Strife: World-wide Congregation Celebrates

This is a perfect timing for a world-wide Congregation to give thanks after a wave of disasters and political strife struck different parts of the world.

As early as the second week of March, tens of thousands of worshippers marched to the ADD Convention Center in Pampanga, Philippines. Delegates throughout and outside the country arrived in throngs, while coordinating centers in five other continents have also readied their places to accommodate the attendees.

The Members Church of God International is celebrating its International Thanksgiving to God for the first quarter of this year from March 25 to 27, singing praises, offering thanksgiving, and studying of God’s word.

This first quarter thanksgiving is significant for the Congregation for many reasons. MCGI had vigorously widened its broadcast mileage in the past three months, specifically to include Bolivia, Argentina, Portugal, Uruguay, and India in its evangelization efforts. The latter two already have established coordinating centers in response to the growing number of brethren an interested people. More centers are expected to be set up soon.

The increase in membership in the West was hastened by the 24/7 broadcasts over Latin-American televisions and Bible Expositions held in various places. Inquiries about the doctrines of the Church multiplied in a few months. Bro. Eli Soriano, presiding minister to MCGI, said of this in his sermon as “quenching spiritual thirst in the West.”

Bro. Eli also thinks of these evangelization developments as the “realization of the Church’s responsibility to show and share the light and knowledge that God gave [us].” Even with persistent censures and criticisms, MCGI continues to broadcast the Gospel, and in doing so, Bro. Eli said, “We feel humbled that we have become instruments in making the truth we have learned known to every place we go.”

The continuous preaching added 4,107 new members for the first quarter. This number includes a majority of Filipinos, Papua New Guineans, Indians, Africans, and Latinos.

Another celebrated achievement of the Church is the institution of the synchronized worldwide prayer on March 6. Members pray together in MCGI chapters worldwide at an agreed time, 10 p.m. in the Philippines via satellite and Internet facilities.
